Common problems

  1. 01

Livestock and crops left off the books

Without biological asset records, the balance sheet understates what the business owns.

  2. 02

    Feed and fertiliser costs scattered

Upkeep is paid in cash in many places and is hard to total up.

  3. 03

    Harvests not linked to sales

Harvests go in a notebook and sales somewhere else.

Frequently asked questions

What is PSAK 241?

PSAK 241 (formerly PSAK 69) is the agriculture standard under the new PSAK numbering that IAI introduced from 1 January 2024. It covers how to record biological assets such as crops and livestock.

Does a small farm have to apply PSAK 241?

It depends on the accounting framework you use. Businesses on SAK EMKM record assets at historical cost. Your accountant can help you choose the right framework.
